A Background to Primary School Science

The Australian Academy of Science has had a long standing interest in the provision of science education to Australian school students. Recognising that skills and attitudes in science are acquired at an early age, the Academy in 1994 launched a major program in science education at primary school level under the title Primary Investigations.

Advisory Committee

The ANU Press Advisory Committee was established in 2017, replacing the long-running University Press Advisory Committee.

The new committee was formed following the 2016 ANU Press review, in response to the review panel’s recommendation: ‘there is a need for strategic editorial capacity as well as for a strategic academic-led Committee to give leadership and direction’.
